Patients are nervous enough with the prospect of extractions. Tooth positions and thickness of the base are 2 major things I have found most concerning and problematic to patients over 38 years of fabricating immediate dentures. Eventually this patient will be receiving implants and a bar, but in the interim the patient’s confidence in their treatment is assured when the immediate/healing denture reflects something more than some plastic with teeth.
Being a dental technician, whose focus is patient centered rather than how many and how fast I can get it out the door, gives my laboratory a unique identity in today’s market.
