Unlike many labs, I rely on the pre-cure application of colorants to enhance my fabrications and not after the fact. These colors are applied in an open mold while the acrylic reaches the correct state of pack. A homogenous blending of the colors and the base material occurs during the curing process.
I have no concerns of delamination, surface preparation or devotion of time required in the post cure fabrication of composites.
GC Naturecryl SHI/and even the MC (microwave version) are ideal for this technique.
